Our two day courses will act as an introduction to what we call backwoods camping, or bushcraft.

Although we can not guarantee you will do all the things below or in this order this is what you could expect to do.

Start at 8 am Introduction Program, aims and objectives.


Site selection by participants, Put up own tents?

Instruction in site selection, putting up bashers,

camp hygiene, food storage and preparation,

After Lunch we could show you the Safe use of an axe and saw, cleaning off branches, chopping techniques, splitting wood and preparing tinder.

Fire lighting and different fires, wood selection etc.

We will show you how to use a knife, camp gadgets/utensil’s and after Dinner a summery of day’s activities questions and answers.

You also have the option of doing a wide game or finding direction by stars, (Youth groups, young people)

Camp fire supper end of day’s activities.

Day two

After breakfast, the right fire for the job, fire safety, Kitchen hygiene, safe use of knife, preparing food.

Cooking on an open fire, with and without utensil’s

Set and light fire, Prepare, cook and eat own lunch on open fire.

Rest time, what went well,clear camp, pack up and summery of last 2 days good and bad

End of camp 4.00pm?

Again this is just an indication of what you could do. The two day one night courses normally cost £100 and we need a minimum of 6 per course, but look at our course dates for more information.

The weekend Course with two nights, and two days, will start at 7.00pm on the first night, and finish at 4.00pm the second day.

Most courses are self catering but you will be notified if otherwise
