Pioneering is building things with ropes poles and spars, it is also knot-tying, hut making, bridging, measurements, and handicrafts. Pioneers are men or women who go ahead to open up a way in the jungles or elsewhere for those coming after them, they improve the way forward for those following. So with this in mind Pioneering is knowing how to tie a number of simple knots and lashings, that enable the building of a number of different pioneering structures, problem solving and making life easy in the outdoors.Pioneering, backwoods, and bushcraft go hand in had together, its written that frontiersmen, trappers, hunters, pioneers, explorers bushmen, and drovers are people ready to face dangers, to help one another. Pioneers are people who go ahead to open up the way for those coming after. living of the land, opening up new frontiers, making maps, fording rivers, building bridges and cabins, climbing mountains, rafting rivers, and overcoming all manner of natural obstacles in order to make life easier for them.
Pioneering is ideal for learning leadership skills and team building, we teach the basic knots and lashings, to construct trestles and A frame's and do more advanced courses teaching you to build a number of construction's including bridges, towers, rafts, cranes and lifting equipment. You can learn how to set up and use blocks and tackle, and all the safety aspects, including Risk Assessment, and how to look after the equipment. there are a number of problem solving scenario's that we can set up, that are perfect for testing and developing physical and mental dexterity, leadership, and team work.

We can Incorporate pioneering with basic backwoods camping making a very interesting weekend. Pioneering is an interesting alternative for Schools and Youth Groups, not only for improving team work, but also developing basic construction skills.
